Café Manager

Job Summary

Alchemist Coffee Project is seeking an experienced, organized, and guest-focused Café Manager to oversee daily café operations and lead the team in delivering high-quality coffee, beverages, food, and hospitality. The ideal candidate has strong leadership skills, understands café operations, and can maintain efficient service while supporting a positive and welcoming environment.

Key Responsibilities

• Oversee daily café operations and service activities
• Lead, coach, and support baristas and café team members
• Create staff schedules based on business needs and service levels
• Train new team members on café procedures, beverage standards, and guest service
• Monitor beverage quality, food presentation, cleanliness, and service standards
• Ensure consistent preparation of coffee, espresso, and specialty beverages
• Support baristas with espresso equipment, workflow, and beverage-quality standards
• Monitor guest service and address requests or concerns professionally
• Oversee POS operations, cash handling, and daily transaction procedures
• Manage coffee, food, beverage, packaging, and café supply inventory
• Assist with ordering, receiving, storage, and product rotation
• Monitor inventory levels and help reduce waste and unnecessary product loss
• Maintain clean, organized, and properly stocked café areas
• Ensure compliance with food safety, sanitation, and workplace safety procedures
• Assist with opening, closing, cleaning, and daily operational procedures
• Monitor team performance and provide constructive feedback
• Help manage operational costs while maintaining quality and service standards
• Coordinate with vendors and service providers when needed
• Support busy service periods, special events, and café promotions
• Complete operational reports and administrative duties as assigned

Requirements

• Previous café, coffee shop, restaurant, hospitality, or food-service management experience preferred
• Strong leadership and team-management skills
• Knowledge of coffee, espresso, and café operations
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
• Strong guest-service and problem-solving abilities
• Experience with POS systems, cash handling, scheduling, and inventory procedures
• Ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment
• Strong organization and time-management skills
• Reliable, professional, and accountable work ethic
• Ability to work flexible hours, including mornings, evenings, weekends, and holidays
• Ability to work effectively with baristas, kitchen staff, and other café team members

Pay: $25.00 - $30.00 per hour

Expected hours: 36.0 per week
