Cafe Manager

We are looking for a restaurant manager to work in the day to day running of our cafe and ensuring customers receive the best possible customer service . Day time hours only , rostered 5/7. Duties and responsibilities will include customer service, product research, day to day management, SOP implementation, cash handling and ad hoc duties.They will manage staff efficiently, and look after day to day running of the business,which will include staff management (rosters, hires, training etc), floor management (including communications with the kitchen), monitoring daily expenses, ordering of supplies, H&S and hygiene of public area and resolving any customer issues. Candidate must also be barista trained.The successful candidate will manage and co-ordinate FOH staff, be responsible for ordering cafe beverages and FOH supplies, stock takes, menu planning, social media planning and reporting directly to the owner.

The candidate must have

Excellent customer skills

Experience in a similar supervisor or management role.

Coffee experience & understanding of equipment , training will be provided on the equipment.

Ability to work as part of a team.

Flexibility in working hours

Ability to work on their own initiative.

Ability to multitask and work well in a fast paced environment.

Duties and Responsibilities

Ensure appropriate levels of customer service at all times.

Coordinating service between restaurant and kitchen.

Oversee all front of house operations

Supervising floor staff to ensure the highest standard of service.

Maintain quality control for all food and beverages served.

Maintain and supervise cleaning schedule.

Ensuring stock levels are kept and proper stock rotation is in use.

Taking food and drink orders.

Serving food and hot beverages.

Ensure team compliance with health, safety, sanitation standards

Assist with and carry out training of staff to ensure we maintain consistency of required standards.

Support team members in handling guest inquiries and requests and in resolving customer complaints.

Highlight issues to management and make improvements accordingly.

Work with management on weekly rosters.
