Café Manager

Job Summary

We are seeking a dynamic and energetic Café Manager to lead our vibrant café team and ensure an exceptional customer experience. In this role, you will oversee daily operations, manage staff, and uphold the highest standards of food quality, safety, and hospitality. Your leadership will foster a welcoming environment where both customers and team members feel valued and inspired to deliver outstanding service. This position offers an exciting opportunity to showcase your restaurant management expertise while driving the success of a bustling café environment. Most be available early mornings Saturday and Sundays to close. We are open from 8am to 6pm.

Duties

• Lead and supervise café staff, training, coaching, and conducting performance evaluations to build a motivated and efficient team
• Oversee all aspects of food preparation, cooking, and food handling to ensure quality standards are consistently met
• Manage daily operations including opening, closing, inventory control, and cash handling using POS systems such as Clover or similar platforms
• Ensure compliance with food safety regulations and maintain a clean, organized kitchen and service area at all times
• Deliver exceptional customer service by addressing guest inquiries, resolving issues promptly, and creating a welcoming atmosphere
• Coordinate food service activities including serving customers, or barista duties as needed to support smooth operations
• Implement operational procedures that promote efficiency, safety, and high standards of hospitality across the café

Requirements

• Proven experience in food service or restaurant management with a strong background in the food industry
• Demonstrated supervising experience with team management skills that motivate staff and foster teamwork
• Knowledge of food preparation techniques, cooking methods, and food safety regulations
• Hands-on experience with POS systems such as Clover or similar cash handling platforms
• Excellent customer service skills with the ability to handle diverse guest needs professionally
• Strong leadership qualities with experience in interviewing, training, and developing team members
• Familiarity with kitchen operations including food handling, serving protocols, bartending or barista experience is highly desirable
• Hospitality background from restaurants or hotels is a plus; certifications in food safety are preferred
• Familiar to UBER EATS system
