Café Server

About the Position

Caffè Tucci is looking for a friendly, energetic, and customer-focused Café Server to join its team. The Café Server will be responsible for providing welcoming customer service, taking accurate food and beverage orders, serving menu items, processing payments, and maintaining a clean and inviting café environment. The ideal candidate should enjoy working with people, have good communication skills, and be comfortable working efficiently during busy service periods.

Key Responsibilities

• Welcome customers and provide friendly, professional service.
• Take food and beverage orders accurately and communicate them clearly to the café team.
• Serve coffee, tea, cold beverages, snacks, desserts, and other menu items.
• Assist customers with menu questions, product information, and special requests.
• Ensure food and beverages are served promptly and presented according to café standards.
• Process cash, card, and other customer payments accurately through the POS system.
• Maintain clean and organized tables, counters, service stations, and customer areas.
• Clear tables and reset seating areas efficiently during service.
• Restock cups, napkins, cutlery, takeaway packaging, beverages, and other supplies.
• Follow food hygiene, sanitation, and workplace safety procedures.
• Assist with basic food preparation and other café duties when required.
• Support colleagues during busy periods to maintain smooth and efficient service.
• Respond politely and professionally to customer feedback or concerns.
• Assist with opening and closing duties, cleaning, and daily restocking.
• Inform supervisors about low stock, equipment issues, or other operational concerns.
• Contribute to a positive, respectful, and team-oriented café environment.

Qualifications

• Previous experience in a café, restaurant, hospitality, or customer-service role is an asset.
• Friendly and approachable personality with strong customer-service skills.
• Good verbal communication and interpersonal abilities.
• Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced environment.
• Strong attention to cleanliness, presentation, and detail.
• Basic POS and cash-handling experience is beneficial.
• Reliable, punctual, and willing to work as part of a team.
• Ability to remain calm and professional during busy service periods.
• Comfortable standing and working for extended periods.
• Willingness to learn café menu items, service procedures, and workplace standards.
• Flexible availability for different shifts, including weekends where required.

Pay: £16.00-£23.00 per hour

Expected hours: 33.0 per week
