Cafe Shift Lead

K’s Cafe & Smoothie Bar is growing, and we’re looking to add another strong leader to our team!

We’re a busy, locally owned café serving specialty coffees, protein smoothies, breakfast, lunch, and more. Over the years, we’ve grown into a fast-paced environment with an incredible community of customers and a team that works hard to keep everything running smoothly.

We’re looking for someone who brings more than just experience. We want someone who enjoys working with people, takes initiative, leads by example, and genuinely wants to be part of a growing business.

Pay: $14–$18/hour starting, based on experience + tips!

Expected Hours: Approximately 25-32 hours per week

Schedule: Weekday and weekend availability needed. Flexibility is especially important for this position!

We’re looking for someone who has availability throughout the week AND on weekends. This does not mean working every day or every weekend, but we do need someone who can provide dependable coverage across different days based on our scheduling needs.

Duties and Responsibilities:

• Open and/or close the café and ensure smooth daily operations
• Lead shifts by keeping the team on track, organized, and working efficiently
• Provide excellent customer service and step in to resolve issues when needed
• Prepare drinks and food items while maintaining speed, quality, and consistency
• Train and support team members, helping them grow and succeed
• Maintain a clean, organized, and well-stocked workspace
• Monitor inventory levels and communicate restocking needs
• Follow food safety and cleanliness standards at all times
• Take initiative and handle day-to-day responsibilities without constant direction

Qualifications:

• Previous experience in food service, coffee, or customer service preferred
• Prior leadership, key holder, or shift lead experience is a plus
• Strong communication skills and ability to lead a team positively
• Flexible availability, including weekday daytime shifts and some weekends

Job Type: Part-time

Pay: $14.00 - $18.00 per hour
