Café Supervisor

What are we looking for;

We are seeking an experienced and confident Café Supervisor, to oversee daily operations within a busy hospitality environment. The supervisors is responsible for ensuring exceptional customer service, maintaining high standards of food safety, leading, and motivating the team. This role offers an excellent opportunity for a passionate individual with a background in hospitality, and team leadership to contribute to a vibrant café setting. The position requires a proactive approach to leading both staff and operational tasks.

Duties

• Supervise daily café operations, ensuring smooth service during all shifts
• Assist the general manager with training, and performance management across the team.
• Ensure compliance with food safety regulations and maintain cleanliness standards across the premises
• Greet, seat and serve customers, providing excellent hospitality and ensuring customer satisfaction
• Monitor stock levels in order to assist the manager to place orders, ensuring the availability of ingredients and supplies
• Implement operational processes and procedures to optimise efficiency and service quality
• Lead by example in delivering outstanding service and fostering a positive team environment

Qualifications

• Proven supervising experience within a restaurant or hospitality setting
• Demonstratable leadership skills with the ability to manage and motivate a team effectively
• Excellent organisational skills with the ability to multitask in a fast-paced environment
• Barista experience or serving background is desirable but not essential
• A friendly demeanour with excellent communication skills and a passion for delivering exceptional customer service.

This role requires you to be available during weekends, and is currently around 16 hours a week, with the potential for more during annual leave cover, and during busy periods.

Job Types: Part-time, Permanent, Zero hours contract

Pay: From £13.00 per hour
