Blath is a little breath of fresh air - inspired by the land, shaped by nature and created for moments of comfort and calm. Our new cafe at The Heritage will be a welcoming space where guests can enjoy great coffee, wholesome food and a relaxed, memorable experience.

We are seeking an experienced and enthusiastic Cafe Supervisor to join our team and play a key role in the successful opening and day-to-day running of Blath.

As Cafe Supervisor, you will oversee the daily operations of the cafe, ensuring our guests receive excellent service and our team delivers consistently high standards. You will lead by example, create a positive working environment and help establish the standards and atmosphere that will define Blath.

Blath will open 7 days a week from early morning to late afternoon. Flexibility to work weekends and bank holidays is required.

Main Duties and Responsibilities:

Oversee the smooth day-to-day running of the cafe.

Deliver warm, friendly and efficient guest service.

Prepare and serve quality coffee, with strong barista skills.

Support food preparation and ensure food is presented to a high standard.

Maintain excellent cleanliness, hygiene and food safety standards.

Train, support and guide new team members to meet Blath's service and operational standards.

Manage guest queries and resolve any issues professionally.

Support stock control, daily opening and closing procedures, and the overall organisation of the cafe.

Lead by example, motivating the team and ensuring a welcoming atmosphere for guests and colleagues.

Requirements:

Previous experience in a supervisory role within a cafe, coffee shop or similar food and beverage environment.

Strong barista skills and a passion for great coffee.

Experience in food preparation and customer-facing service.

Excellent communication, leadership and organisational skills.

A hands-on approach, with the ability to work well under pressure.

A strong commitment to cleanliness, quality and guest satisfaction.

A positive attitude and a genuine passion for hospitality.
