Cafeteria Substitute

Description: Cafeteria Technician (Substitute) (This is not a full time position.) Job Summary: Serve students attractice and nutritious meals in an atmosphere of efficiency, cleanliness and friendliness. Qualifications: High School diploma or GED and minimum age of 18 along with food preparation experience and be able to comply with any state food permit/health requirements. Experience in quantity food preparation and inventory control is preferred.Demonstrated aptitute for successful performance of the responsibilities. Must pass a physical examinition. Performance Responsibilities

• Assists in the preparation of food portions and prepares cafeteria counter for serving.
• Serves students and staff from the cafeteria counter.
• Removes used dishes and assists in cleaning of counters, tables and furnishings in the dining area.
• Maintains the trash and garbage collection area in a neat and sanitary condition.
• Cleans and washes all equipment used in cooking.
• Keeps own working area clean with the help of the person or persons assigned to work wirh the cook and baker.
• Prepares breads, desserts, and salad for noon meal.
• Maintains high standards of health, sanitation and safety.
• Observes parish policies regarding punctuality and absenteeism.
• Abides by the rules and regulations founds in the St. Martin Parish Policy Handbook.
• Assumes other related responsibilities as assigned by Principal and Cafeteria Manager.
