Job Summary
We are seeking an energetic and dedicated Seasonal Cafeteria Supervisor to oversee daily food service operations. This role involves supervising staff, ensuring compliance with safety and health regulations, managing staff behavior during meal times, and maintaining a positive environment. The ideal candidate will be proactive, organized, and passionate about creating a safe and enjoyable experience.

Responsibilities

• Supervise and support cafeteria staff, including assigning daily duties, keeping staff on task, training and providing ongoing assistance
• Oversee daily cafeteria operations, including opening and closing procedures, food preparation, serving guests, handling cash and cleaning
• Monitor food quality, portion control and presentation
• Maintain compliance with all applicable food safety, sanitation and health regulations
• Handle guest questions, concerns and service issues professionally and promptly
• Maintain a clean, organized and safe cafeteria, kitchen, storage and serving areas

Qualifications

• Previous leadership experience within food service, hospitality or similar environment
• Strong customer service and communication skills
• Ability to lead a team in a fast-paced environment
• Ability to make sound decisions during busy operating periods
• Basic cash-handling and POS system skills
• Must be willing to work weeknights and weekends and variable hours during the ski season

Day to Day Tasks

• Assign employees to stations and daily duties
• Train and supervise cafeteria employees
• Monitor food prep, quality and service
• Operate and oversee cash registers/POS System
• Handle cash deposits and end-of-day paperwork
• Help with food preparation and serving during busy hours
• Ensure employees follow resort safety policies
