  Position Title: Cafeteria Worker (Part - Time)

  Terms of Employment: 3.5 hours per day
  Salary: $17.26 hourly
  Benefits: Eligible for health and dental insurance
  Per terms of REC Collective Bargaining Agreement

  Education/Certification/License:

  • Illinois Food Service Sanitation License (preferred)
  • Obtain a valid Illinois Food Service Sanitation License within 30 days of hire
  • High school diploma or general education degree (GED)

  Responsibilities:

  • Arrange and serve pre-packaged food items according to established procedures and portion control standards
  • Set out milk cartons for lunch on chilled areas
  • Assure proper temperature of foods and record according to schedule
  • Label and date open food products to ensure proper storage and rotation of food and leftovers
  • Track food for daily production logs
  • Maintain and report low supply of condiments, food items and paper goods to the Food Service Manager
  • Follow established health, safety and sanitation principles applicable to food serving and kitchen maintenance
  • Maintain food serving area, equipment and utensils in a clean and sanitary condition - maintain log
  • Able to lift and move milk crates (up to 25lb)
  • Other duties as assigned
