Responsibilities

• Design and decorate cakes according to customer orders and specifications.
• Prepare cake batters, icings, and fillings using various baking techniques.
• Ensure all food safety standards are met during food preparation and decoration.
• Maintain cleanliness and organisation of the kitchen area, including tools and equipment.
• Collaborate with team members to ensure timely production of cakes for events and orders.
• Stay updated on current trends in cake decoration and incorporate new techniques into your work.
• Assist in inventory management by monitoring supplies and ingredients needed for cake production.

Qualifications

• Proven experience in food production or preparation, preferably within a bakery or restaurant setting.
• Strong culinary skills with an emphasis on baking and cake decoration techniques.
• Knowledge of food safety regulations and best practices in the kitchen.
• Previous experience in a similar role is highly desirable but not mandatory; we welcome enthusiastic candidates eager to learn.
• Excellent attention to detail with a creative flair for design.

Job Type: Part-time

Pay: £13.00-£16.00 per hour
