Job Summary

BITEE Pastries is seeking a creative and dependable Cake Decorator / Baker for a full-time position at our bakery in Chelsea, Manhattan. The ideal candidate enjoys baking, experimenting with cake designs, and working in a fast-paced environment.

Both professional and home-baking experience will be considered. The selected candidate must be willing to learn and follow our kitchen, quality, and sanitation standards.

Duties

• Bake cakes and prepare other bakery products according to established recipes and standards
• Decorate cakes accurately based on customer orders and reference designs
• Maintain consistent quality, appearance, and presentation
• Wash dishes, utensils, and baking equipment
• Clean and organize the kitchen and work areas
• Package cakes carefully for customer pickup and delivery
• Communicate with customers when needed
• Assist with basic barista duties after training
• Manage multiple tasks efficiently in a fast-paced environment
• Perform other bakery-related duties as needed

Requirements

• Cake decorating or baking experience at a professional or home-baking level
• Portfolio or photos of previously completed cakes
• Strong attention to detail and presentation
• Ability to follow recipes, instructions, and customer design requests
• Willingness to learn professional kitchen standards
• Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced environment
• Ability to maintain a clean and organized workspace
• Dependability, punctuality, and a professional attitude
• Ability to work effectively as part of a team
