Role Description The Cake Decorator role at Belgstrew is a full-time, on-site position based in Gurugram. The Cake Decorator will design, decorate, and finish custom cakes and related baked items according to customer specifications, themes, and flavor profiles. Day-to-day tasks include preparing frostings and fillings, assembling and icing cakes, creating decorative elements (such as fondant work, piping, and toppers), and ensuring consistent visual quality and taste. The role involves collaborating with the bakery team to plan orders, maintain a clean and safe workstation, follow food safety standards, and manage timelines to meet delivery and pickup schedules. The Cake Decorator will also interact with customers or front-of-house team members to clarify designs, provide suggestions, and support a positive customer experience.

Qualifications

• Strong skills in Baking and Cake Decorating, including working with multiple styles and techniques.
• Hands-on experience in Bakery operations and preparing a variety of products such as cakes, chocolates, and Cookies.
• Demonstrated Customer Service skills with the ability to understand requirements, handle feedback, and support a pleasant client experience.
• Attention to detail, creativity, and an eye for design, color, and presentation in decorated products.
• Basic knowledge of food safety and hygiene practices, including maintaining a clean, organized workstation.
• Ability to work on-site in Gurugram, stand for extended periods, and manage multiple orders under time constraints.
• Prior experience in a professional bakery or pastry environment is preferred; formal training in baking or pastry arts is a plus.
• Effective communication skills and the ability to collaborate with a small, fast-paced team.
