Calibration Manager

Job Scope: Calibration & Operation
Location: Fujairah, UAE

Position Summary

We are looking for an experienced Calibration Manager to lead the calibration laboratory and oversee the day-to-day operations of our Fujairah facility.

The role combines technical and laboratory management, ISO/IEC 17025 compliance, customer management, team leadership, business support, and office administration. The successful candidate will ensure efficient calibration operations, high-quality service delivery, regulatory compliance, and smooth branch functioning.

Key Responsibilities

• Lead and manage day-to-day calibration jobs, workload planning, manpower, equipment, and turnaround time.
• Manage calibration activities across relevant disciplines and ensure accurate, traceable, and timely calibration services.
• Ensure compliance with ISO/IEC 17025:2017, accreditation requirements, technical procedures, measurement uncertainty, and traceability.
• Coordinate internal and external audits, proficiency testing, corrective actions, and accreditation assessments.
• Supervise, develop, and maintain competency and authorization of technical and support staff.
• Review calibration reports/certificates and ensure proper documentation and technical records.
• Manage customer inquiries, quotations, technical discussions, complaints, and key customer relationships.
• Support business development, revenue growth, customer retention, and branch performance.
• Oversee procurement, equipment maintenance, supplier coordination, budgeting, and cost control.
• Manage general office administration, facilities, assets, statutory requirements, and coordination with Head Office.
• Monitor operational KPIs including turnaround time, utilization, on-time delivery, quality, and customer satisfaction.
• Ensure appropriate health, safety, environmental, and laboratory practices are maintained.
• Prepare periodic operational and management reports and provide recommendations to senior management.

Qualifications & Experience

• Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, preferably Instrumentation, Electronics, Electrical, Mechanical, or a related field.
• 10–15 years of relevant calibration experience, with at least 4 years in a laboratory, technical management, or branch management role.
• Strong knowledge of ISO/IEC 17025:2017, measurement uncertainty, calibration traceability, and accreditation requirements.
• Good understanding of, or willingness to take on responsibilities related to, customer management, procurement, and general office administration.
• Proven experience and knowlesge in managing calibration laboratories , marine calibration and accreditation assessments.
• Strong leadership, communication, problem-solving, and team-management skills.Preferred
• Experience in a UAE calibration laboratory or ISO/IEC 17025 accredited environment.
• Experience managing multiple calibration disciplines.
• UAE driving licence is an advantage.

Job Location: Fujairah Freezone
Working Days: Monday to Friday
Working Hours: 7:00 AM to 5:00 PM
