Calibration Technician

Love science, solving problems, and figuring out how things work? Enjoy hands-on technical work and travel?

We’re looking for a Calibration Technician to join our team! In this role, you’ll work with precision instruments, troubleshoot equipment, and help ensure our customers’ equipment is accurate and reliable. With a mix of hands-on technical work, problem-solving, and local travel to customer facilities, no two days have to be exactly alike!

We’re looking for someone who is detail-oriented, enjoys learning, and takes pride in quality work. Calibration and/or laboratory experience is preferred, along with a strong technical background and the ability to work both independently and as part of a team.

Responsibilities

• Identify and utilize appropriate manual, as well as internal measurement procedures to calibrate equipment for clients
• Work in accordance with NIST traceable standards
• Maintain secondary and/or working calibration standards
• Perform maintenance, troubleshooting and repair of precision equipment
• Identify and correct measurement errors, as applicable
• Prepare calibration reports and certificates
• Adapt existing calibration equipment, standards, and techniques to accomplish unique measurements tasks

Requirements

• Military PMEL / TMDE / DOD training preferred or 2 years of equivalent training is required
• Experience in Calibration Laboratory
• Experience working under ISO 17025 Quality Assurance
• Work well independently and as a team
• Local travel may be required to perform on site calibration at customer facility
• Willing and capable to lift up to 50 pounds without assistance.
• U.S. Citizen or U.S. Permanent Resident Status required
• Must have a valid driver's license in state of residence and a clean driving record

Pay: From $63,000.00 per year
