Call Center Agent

Overview
We are seeking a dedicated and enthusiastic Call Center Representative to join our dynamic team. The Call Center Representative serves as the first point of contact for patients, caregivers, and referring providers, delivering exceptional customer service in a high-volume, fast-paced medical specialty practice. This role requires professionialism, efficiency, and strong communication skills to support a practice specializing in vascular, bariatric, and general surgery.

Duties

• Handle a high-volume of inbound and outbound calls with professionalism and courtesy.
• Schedule, confirm, and reschedule patient appointments.
• Provide accurate information regarding surgical services, insurance requirements, and pre-appointment instructions.
• Verify and update patient demographic and insurance information.
• Assist patients with inquirires regarding referrals and authorizations.
• Maintain compliance with HIPAA regulations and ensure patient confidentiality.
• Document all interactions within the EMR system accurately and in a timely manner.
• Support practice workflow.

Qualifications

• Previous experience in a call center or medical customer support role is preferred.
• Proficiency in English. Bilingual is a plus.
• Strong communication skills, both verbal and written.
• Ability to handle multiple tasks efficiently in a fast-paced environment.
• Familiarity with NextGen is a plus.
• Excellent problem-solving skills with attention to detail.
• A positive attitude and willingness to learn new processes.
• Proficient knowledge in IE/Riverside HMO and PPO insurances.
• Proficiency in medical terminology.
