We are looking for experienced Node.js Contractors to express their interest in collaborating with Code.Hub on current and future Project Delivery initiatives.

As a Node.js Software Engineer , you will have the opportunity to contribute to the design, development, and delivery of scalable, high-performance backend solutions for leading organizations across multiple industries. Depending on the engagement, you may work on greenfield development, microservices-based architectures, enterprise applications, system integrations, or modernization initiatives, collaborating with experienced Software Engineers, Solution Architects, QA Engineers, DevOps Engineers, Product Owners, and other technical stakeholders in Agile environments.

Key Responsibilities

• Design, develop, and maintain robust backend applications using Node.js and modern frameworks.
• Build, enhance, and maintain RESTful APIs and microservices.
• Participate in technical design discussions and contribute to software architecture decisions.
• Write clean, maintainable, and well-tested code following software engineering best practices.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to deliver high-quality software solutions.
• Participate in code reviews and support continuous improvement initiatives.
• Troubleshoot, debug, and optimize application performance.
• Contribute to system integrations, cloud-native solutions, and software modernization projects when required.
• Support application deployment, monitoring, and continuous delivery processes.

Required Qualifications

• 4+ years of professional experience in software development using Node.js .
• Strong proficiency in JavaScript and/or TypeScript .
• Hands-on experience with Node.js frameworks such as Express.js or NestJS .
• Experience designing and developing RESTful APIs and backend services.
• Good understanding of microservices architecture and distributed systems.
• Experience with SQL and/or NoSQL databases, such as PostgreSQL, MySQL, MongoDB, or Redis.
• Familiarity with Git and Agile development methodologies.
• Strong problem-solving and analytical skills.
• Good communication skills in English.
• Ability to work independently and successfully manage deliverables in a part-time contractor engagement.

Nice-to-Have Skills

• Experience with cloud platforms such as Azure, AWS, or Google Cloud Platform.
• Experience with Docker and Kubernetes.
• Familiarity with CI/CD pipelines (Azure DevOps, GitHub Actions, GitLab CI, Jenkins, etc.).
• Experience with messaging technologies such as Kafka or RabbitMQ.
• Knowledge of event-driven architecture.
• Experience with caching strategies and technologies such as Redis.
• Familiarity with automated testing frameworks and tools (Jest, Mocha, Supertest, etc.).
• Experience with GraphQL.
• Previous experience working as a contractor or freelancer.
