ROLE & RESPONSIBILITIES

Role: To work in the Cam lathe department operating machinery in a safe manner with a “clean as you go” mentality. Achieving the required output of components while maintaining the quality standards and efficiency levels in accordance with company guidelines and operating procedures.

Main responsibilities include:

• To operate multi spindle lathes and all ancillary equipment in an efficient manner.
• Diagnose minor faults and rectify if able to do so.
• Inspect and record all Quality data for turned parts produced.
• Complete all paperwork accurately and in full.
• Input data to computerised systems. Understand and follow Quality instructions and control plans.
• Wash, weigh and pack components ready for the next process.
• Communicate with team leader and escalate any issues immediately.
• Work safely ensuring PPE worn an all required areas.
• Keep machine and work areas clean and tidy.
• Prepare material for machines.
• Be responsible for machine hand tools.
• Follow waste stream guidelines. Adhere to company policies.
• Any other reasonable requests.

QUALIFICATIONS & EXPERIENCE

The successful candidate will be:

• A self-starter with good organisational ability.
• Previous experience of running high paced production machinery.
• A good time keeper.
• Good attention to detail.
• Good hand to eye co-ordination.
• Strong visual capabilities.
• Good numeracy and literacy.
• Must work well in a team environment.
• English language and literacy at an Intermediate level.

Pay: From £15.21 per hour

Expected hours: 40.25 per week
