CAM Operator

CAM Operator and 3D Printer (Dental Laboratory) – Key Responsibilities

• Operate and monitor CAD/CAM equipment, including wet milling machines, dry milling machines, 3D printers, scanners, sintering furnaces, and other digital dental laboratory equipment.
• Prepare, process, and manage digital case files for milling, printing, and sintering in accordance with production requirements.
• Set up machines, select appropriate materials and tools, and ensure efficient and accurate production of dental restorations.
• Inspect milled, printed, and sintered restorations to ensure they meet quality standards before endorsing them to the next production stage.
• Perform routine cleaning, maintenance, calibration, and basic troubleshooting of CAD/CAM equipment to ensure optimal performance and minimize downtime.
• Maintain cleanliness and organization of workstations, equipment, and production areas in compliance with laboratory safety and hygiene standards.
• Monitor inventory of CAM materials, consumables, and equipment supplies, and coordinate replenishment as needed.
• Coordinate with the Design, Ceramics, Quality Control, and Case Management teams to ensure timely and accurate completion of cases.
• Maintain accurate production, maintenance, and machine operation records.
• Train and assist junior CAM Operators or laboratory assistants as assigned.
• Keep up to date with advancements in CAD/CAM technology and recommend process improvements to enhance productivity and quality.
• Perform other duties and responsibilities as may be assigned by Management from time to time.
