School Holidays | October Half Term Start | Leeds

Kickstart Kamps is looking for enthusiastic, energetic and reliable Kamp Coaches to join our growing team!

We run fun, active and creative holiday camps for children across Leeds, giving them the chance to try different activities, make new friends and have an amazing school holiday.

Our coaches are at the heart of what we do. We’re looking for people who are confident working with children, bring plenty of energy and aren’t afraid to get involved!

This role will start in October Half Term and continue throughout every school holiday going forward, including Christmas, February Half Term, Easter, May Half Term and the summer holidays.

Our Venues

We currently operate across three venues:

• Collingham Memorial Hall – Main Street, Collingham, Wetherby LS22 5AS
• Moor Allerton Hall Primary School – Lidgett Lane, Leeds LS17 6QP
• Whitkirk Primary School – Templegate Walk, Leeds LS15 0EU

Our camps currently cater for children from Year 1 to Year 7.

What You'll Be Doing

As a Kickstart Kamps Coach, your role will include:

• Leading and supporting a variety of fun activities throughout the day
• Getting involved in sports, games, crafts, Nerf, archery and other Kamp activities
• Helping create a fun, positive and welcoming environment for every child
• Supervising children and ensuring their safety and wellbeing
• Supporting children with different abilities and confidence levels
• Encouraging teamwork, participation and good behaviour
• Helping set up and pack away activities and equipment
• Working as part of a team alongside other coaches and the Kamp management
• Building positive relationships with children, parents and fellow staff
• Following all Kickstart Kamps safeguarding, health and safety and behaviour procedures
• Being a positive role model for the children attending our camps

Essentials

We're looking for someone who:

• Is enthusiastic, energetic and reliable
• Enjoys working with children
• Is confident communicating with children and other members of staff
• Can work effectively as part of a team
• Is responsible and understands the importance of safeguarding
• Is available to work during school holidays
• Is willing to get involved and have fun!
• Has the right to work in the UK
• Is willing to complete the required safeguarding/DBS checks

Desirable

You don't need to have all of these, but they would be a bonus:

• Experience working with children
• Experience as a Teaching Assistant, sports coach, youth worker or camp leader
• A coaching, teaching, childcare or sports qualification
• First Aid qualification
• Previous experience working on holiday camps
• Experience leading sports, games or activities
• An interest in football, sport, fitness, creative activities or working with young people

Pay: £10.85-£12.72 per hour

Expected hours: 12.0 – 30.0 per week
