We are seeking a first and second cook for our camp. You will be on a rotation. You will have to be able to cover any task within a kitchen.

Duties

• Prepare and cook a variety of meals, snacks, and special dietary options in accordance with camp menus and nutritional guidelines
• Supervise kitchen staff and volunteers, providing guidance on food preparation, handling, and safety procedures
• Manage food inventory, order supplies, and ensure proper storage to minimize waste and maintain freshness
• Maintain strict adherence to food safety standards and sanitation protocols throughout all kitchen operations
• Coordinate with camp management to plan menus that accommodate dietary restrictions and preferences
• Oversee food service during meal times, ensuring efficient distribution and a positive dining experience for campers and staff
• Lead by example in promoting teamwork, cleanliness, and professionalism within the kitchen environment

Qualifications

• Proven experience in food preparation, cooking, and food service within a restaurant or hospitality setting
• Supervising or team management experience in a busy kitchen or food industry environment
• Strong knowledge of food handling safety regulations and sanitation practices
• Ability to manage multiple tasks efficiently while maintaining high-quality standards
• Excellent leadership skills with the ability to motivate and guide a diverse team
• Previous experience in camp or outdoor hospitality environments is a plus
• Demonstrated commitment to food safety, customer service, and teamwork

Pay: $60,000.00-$90,000.00 per year
