Key responsibilities

• Conduct regular patrols throughout the campus grounds, buildings and facilities to identify and address potential security threats or irregularities

• Monitor and manage campus access points, including gates, entrances and exits, verifying credentials and maintaining detailed logs of individuals entering and leaving the premises

• Respond promptly to security incidents, disturbances, emergencies and alarms, and taking appropriate action

• Enforce campus security policies and procedures, including parking regulations, building access restrictions and campus conduct rules

• Maintain accurate and comprehensive security logs, incident reports and other documentation as required

• Conduct searches of bags, vehicles and facilities as part of routine security protocols

• Communicate effectively with campus staff, students and visitors, providing directions and information whilst maintaining a professional attitude

What we're looking for

• Bachelor's degree in criminology or related field
• Previous experience in campus security, facility security, or similar security roles, ideally in an educational or corporate environment
• Strong knowledge of security protocols, emergency procedures and incident response best practices
• Excellent observational skills with the ability to identify suspicious acts and potential security threats
• Outstanding communication skills and the ability to remain calm and professional under pressure
• Physical fitness and capability to perform regular patrols and respond to emergencies
• Integrity, reliability and a commitment to ethical conduct and confidentiality
