Can Fix It

Position Statement:

Responsible for providing maintenance services to all departments of the hotel. Carries out all assigned work outlined or directed by the Supervisor. Maintains Goldwynn Resort and Residences’ standard of operating procedures at all times.

Responsibilities

• Complete basic maintenance and repairs throughout the entire property, including hotel/ residence units, and public areas.
• Ensure a complete understanding of and adhere to the company’s fire and safety procedures.
• Continually support and improve engineering services that effectively address problems affecting both guests and team members.
• Complete work orders and respond to guest calls unsupervised. Maintain basic knowledge of the hotel TV and access control device systems and trouble shooting.
• Ensure a complete understanding of basic troubleshooting of electrical problems.
• Ability to work with carpentry tools such as drills, chisels, sanders, saws and nail gun, and materials.
• Operates various types of woodworking machines and electrical hand tools.
• Repair and replace items such as furniture, wall coverings, acoustical ceiling panels, gypsum board, masonry, or any other miscellaneous tasks such as wooden polishing as directed by your manager or supervisor.
• Install, decals on doors, frames, glass, desk etc. as directed by your manager or supervisor.
• Perform repairs to fixtures and fittings such as door handles, locks, hinges and closures etc.
• Perform minor plumbing repairs and maintenance.
• Perform basic wallpaper repairs as required.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or equivalent vocational training
• A minimum of two years’ experience or similar
• Ability to multi-task
• Good time management skills
• Well-groomed, professional appearance.
• A team player with a can-do attitude
• Basic Plumbing skills
• Basic Electrical skills
• Outstanding written and verbal communication skills.
• Goldwynn operates a twenty-four (24) hour business. Therefore, you will be scheduled to work shifts, which may change from time to time.
