Can Making Plant Inventory Controller and Maintenance Planner

The Can Making Plant Inventory Controller and Maintenance Planner is responsible for planning and monitoring maintenance activities, managing spare parts inventory, and ensuring equipment reliability and inventory accuracy to support uninterrupted production operations. The role involves coordinating with Production, Engineering, Purchasing, and Logistics to optimize maintenance schedules, spare parts availability, and overall plant efficiency.

Key Responsibilities

• Plan, schedule, and monitor preventive, predictive, and corrective maintenance activities.
• Coordinate maintenance schedules and planned equipment shutdowns with Production and Engineering.
• Manage spare parts inventory, stock levels, reorder points, and critical maintenance items.
• Conduct physical inventory counts, audits, and reconciliation of inventory records against SAP data.
• Maintain accurate SAP PM/MM records, including maintenance work orders, bills of materials (BOMs), and inventory transactions.
• Monitor maintenance and inventory key performance indicators (KPIs) and prepare regular reports.
• Coordinate spare parts procurement and replenishment with Purchasing and Logistics.
• Ensure proper storage, labeling, handling, and safety compliance of spare parts in accordance with company standards and 7S practices.
• Identify opportunities to improve maintenance planning, inventory accuracy, and spare parts availability.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering, Electrical Engineering, Industrial Engineering, or a related field.
• At least 1–2 years of experience in maintenance planning, inventory control, or spare parts management.
• Experience in manufacturing or industrial operations is preferred.
• Proficiency in SAP PM/MM or other computerized maintenance management systems (CMMS) is required.
• Knowledge of preventive maintenance, inventory management, root cause analysis (RCA), and maintenance planning principles.
• Strong analytical, organizational, troubleshooting, and problem-solving skills.
• Ability to coordinate effectively across departments and manage competing priorities.
• Willingness to work in a fast-paced manufacturing plant environment.
