How you’ll power our business as a Controls and Instrumentation Manager

All of which means job security, and opportunities to get involved in exciting new initiatives. Join Flogas and help us do energy right for the future.

Here’s what you’ll be doing

Supporting the development of User Requirement Specifications (URS), Functional Design Specifications (FDS), control philosophies, and technical specifications for depot upgrades, LNG facilities, customer installations, and other large or complex engineering projects.

Acting as the C&I Design Authority for assigned projects, ensuring that control system designs comply with company standards, legislative requirements, functional safety obligations, and operational needs.

Leading the technical design phase of projects, including engagement with suppliers, system integrators, panel manufacturers, and specialist contractors to develop robust, standardised, and supportable engineering solutions.

Supporting HAZOP, LOPA, SIL, DSEAR, COMAH, and other technical risk assessments to ensure appropriate control and protection systems are specified and implemented in accordance with company and regulatory requirements.

Developing and maintaining Flogas standards for control systems, instrumentation, software architecture, communications, alarm management, cybersecurity, and panel design to drive consistency across both operational and customer assets.

Providing technical review, challenge, and approval of engineering deliverables including P&IDs, FDS, Cause & Effect charts, control narratives, panel designs, software strategies, FAT/SAT procedures, commissioning documentation, and associated technical records.
