Production Operator – Food Manufacturing

Pay: $20.00 per hour
Schedule: Monday–Thursday 10 hr shift
Full-time

4-day workweek! 3-day weekend

We are an established Dubuque-area food manufacturer looking for dependable, capable people to join our production team.

This is a hands-on manufacturing position — not a bakery, retail food or decorating style job.

Employees work in a production environment operating equipment, handling ingredients and materials, monitoring product quality, cleaning and sanitizing equipment, and maintaining an efficient production pace throughout a 10-hour shift.

What you'll do

• Operate and assist with production and processing equipment
• Weigh, measure, mix and handle ingredients and raw materials
• Monitor equipment and product during production
• Follow established recipes, procedures and quality standards
• Perform routine production-area and equipment sanitation
• Maintain an efficient work pace throughout the shift
• Work cooperatively as part of a small production team
• Maintain dependable and consistent attendance

What we're looking for

We are primarily interested in candidates who have demonstrated that they can succeed in a structured, physical work environment.

Relevant backgrounds include:

• Manufacturing
• Machine operation
• Food production or processing
• Warehouse or distribution
• Assembly
• Construction or skilled trades
• Other physically active production environments

Applicants should be comfortable working on their feet for a 10-hour shift, performing repetitive light physical work, and regularly lifting and handling production materials.

Reliability and attendance are extremely important in this position.

Compensation

Starting pay is $20 per hour, based on relevant experience and demonstrated skills.

Advancement pportunities exist for employees who become proficient with equipment, processes and additional production responsibilities.
