Cane Development & Agriculture Manager

Experience: 7-10 years in sugarcane agriculture, cane development, or agribusiness
Salary: USD 2,500 per month

Job Summary:
We are seeking an experienced Cane Development & Agriculture Manager to lead sugarcane development, cultivation, farmer engagement, and field agricultural operations. The candidate will be responsible for improving cane yield and quality, ensuring adequate cane supply to the mill, and implementing modern and sustainable farming practices.

Key Responsibilities:

• Plan and manage sugarcane development and cultivation activities.
• Develop and maintain strong relationships with farmers and cane growers.
• Monitor planting, irrigation, fertilization, pest control, and harvesting activities.
• Improve sugarcane yield, quality, and overall agricultural productivity.
• Plan and monitor cane supply from growers to the sugar mill.
• Promote modern, sustainable, and cost-effective farming practices.
• Supervise field officers, agronomists, and agricultural teams.
• Maintain farmer, crop, and field records and prepare performance reports.
• Coordinate with cane transport, harvesting, and factory teams to ensure uninterrupted cane supply.

Requirements:

• 7-10 years of relevant experience in sugarcane agriculture/cane development, preferably in the sugar industry.
• B.Sc./M.Sc. in Agriculture, Agronomy, Agricultural Engineering, or a related field.
• Strong knowledge of sugarcane cultivation, irrigation, crop management, and farmer development.
• Experience managing out-growers/farmer networks and agricultural field teams.
• Strong leadership, communication, and problem-solving skills.
• Willingness to work extensively in field-based environments.
