As the Cannabis Beverage Lead at Satori VT, you will play a key hands-on role in building our cannabis-infused beverage program from the ground up. This position is designed for an experienced beverage production professional who can help take a new product from concept and development through pilot production, commercialization, and ongoing manufacturing. The Cannabis Beverage Lead will work closely with leadership, Manufacturing, Extraction, Quality, and outside partners as needed to develop formulations, establish production processes and SOPs, identify equipment and material needs, conduct trials, troubleshoot technical challenges, and prepare the company for scalable beverage production. Once products are launched, this position will serve as the technical lead for day-to-day beverage production, quality, consistency, and continuous improvement. This is a lead-level role focused on technical expertise, execution, training, and process ownership rather than formal personnel management.

Duties & Responsibilities:

· Determine equipment, ingredient, packaging, workspace, and workflow requirements needed to establish beverage production at Satori.

· Source and acquire necessary equipment for manufacturing and pasteurizing beverages

· Conduct and document bench trials and pilot batches, evaluating flavor, consistency, infusion, carbonation, stability, and other key product attributes as applicable.

· Develop repeatable production methods, SOPs, batch records, specifications, sanitation procedures, and quality checkpoints before commercial launch.

· Scale approved formulations from development batches to consistent commercial production and troubleshoot formulation or process challenges along the way.

· Identify and evaluate third-party canning partners based on capabilities, quality standards, production capacity, pricing, and compatibility with Satori’s beverage program.

· Coordinate with the canning company and Satori’s facilities team to ensure the Cannabis Brewery is properly specified and prepared for canning operations, including electrical capacity and connections, equipment footprint, operating clearances, and any additional utility or access requirements.

Beverage Production & Scale-Up:

· Collaborate with leadership, Manufacturing, Extraction, Quality, and other internal or external partners on cannabis-infused beverage development and launch.

· Lead hands-on batching, blending, infusion, carbonation, filling, and other beverage production activities once processes are established.

· Monitor critical production variables and maintain accurate batch and production records.

· Translate approved formulations into documented specifications and repeatable commercial production procedures.

· Lead scheduling and communication with the selected canning company, coordinating production dates, batch readiness, packaging availability, equipment needs, and on-site logistics.

· Identify opportunities to improve product quality, consistency, stability, throughput, and production efficiency as the program grows.

Lead Responsibilities:

· Serve as the primary day-to-day technical resource for the cannabis beverage program.

· Provide hands-on guidance and training to employees assisting with beverage production processes.

· Establish clear workflows, production standards, and best practices as the beverage program is developed and launched.

· Coordinate with Manufacturing leadership regarding production priorities, materials, scheduling, and resource needs.

· Communicate production status, challenges, and recommendations to leadership in a timely manner.

· Model professionalism, accountability, strong communication, and a collaborative approach.

Quality Control & Food Safety:

· Follow and help develop SOPs for beverage production, sanitation, quality control, and product handling.

· Monitor product consistency and key quality attributes throughout production.

· Maintain clean and sanitary brewing and production areas in accordance with applicable food-safety standards and internal procedures.

· Partner with Quality and leadership to investigate deviations, troubleshoot quality concerns, and implement corrective actions.

· Support testing, documentation, and product-release requirements as applicable.

Safety And Compliance:

· Ensure beverage production activities comply with Vermont Cannabis Control Board regulations, internal SOPs, and applicable food-safety requirements.

· Maintain accurate production, ingredient, infusion, and batch documentation.

· Follow workplace safety requirements and safe operating procedures for brewing and beverage-production equipment.

· Support inspection and audit readiness within the beverage production area.

Equipment & Sanitation:

· Operate batching, blending, infusion, carbonation, filling, and related beverage-production equipment safely and effectively, as applicable to the final production process.

· Perform routine cleaning, sanitation, and basic preventive maintenance of beverage-production equipment.

· Identify equipment issues and coordinate with Facilities or outside vendors when service or repair is needed.

· Provide input on equipment needs and capacity improvements as the beverage program expands.

Inventory & Materials:

· Monitor beverage ingredients, packaging materials, processing aids, and other production supplies.

· Communicate purchasing and replenishment needs in advance to prevent production delays.

· Help maintain accurate inventory and minimize waste through proper handling, storage, and production planning.

Continuous Improvement:

· Identify opportunities to improve beverage quality, throughput, consistency, and cost efficiency.

· Help develop scalable processes that can support continued company growth and expansion.

· Maintain organized production records and provide regular updates on beverage production performance, needs, and risks.

Skills & Qualifications:

· Must be 21 years of age or older.

· Must be able to pass a comprehensive background check in accordance with the Cannabis Control Board.

· Professional beverage production, formulation, or product-development experience required; functional beverage, RTD, soda/seltzer, craft beverage, food/beverage R&D, or cannabis beverage experience strongly preferred.

· Hands-on knowledge of beverage formulation, batching, sanitation, quality control, and production processes.

· Experience taking a beverage product from formulation or pilot stage through scale-up and commercial launch strongly preferred.

· Ability to troubleshoot production issues and work independently while collaborating across departments.

· Strong organizational, documentation, communication, and problem-solving skills.

· Comfortable working in a regulated production environment; cannabis experience is preferred but not required.

· Ability to safely operate production equipment and perform the physical requirements associated with beverage manufacturing.
