Cannabis Distribution Lead

About the Role

We're looking for an experienced Cannabis Distribution Lead to oversee day-to-day distribution operations, manage inventory accuracy, and lead a team responsible for the safe, compliant, and efficient movement of product from our facility to retail and wholesale partners. This role requires hands-on knowledge of state cannabis tracking systems and a strong background in inventory and team leadership.

What You'll Do

• Lead and supervise distribution team members, including scheduling, training, and performance management
• Oversee daily inventory operations, ensuring accuracy across incoming, outgoing, and in-transit product
• Maintain full compliance with state seed-to-sale tracking requirements using METRC (or equivalent state system)
• Reconcile inventory counts and resolve discrepancies between physical stock and system records
• Coordinate with manufacturing, sales, and compliance teams to ensure timely and accurate order fulfillment
• Manage distribution documentation, manifests, and transport records in accordance with state regulations
• Build and maintain reporting and tracking tools in Excel (inventory logs, delivery schedules, variance reports)
• Ensure all distribution activities meet company SOPs and state regulatory standards
• Identify process improvements to increase efficiency and reduce shrinkage or errors

What You'll Need

• METRC experience required (or equivalent state cannabis track-and-trace system)
• Proven inventory management experience, ideally in a regulated or high-compliance environment
• Prior leadership or supervisory experience (team lead, shift lead, or manager)
• Strong Excel skills (pivot tables, formulas, basic reporting/dashboards a plus)
• Previous experience working in cannabis distribution or a related licensed cannabis operation
• Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail
• Ability to work in a fast-paced, deadline-driven environment
• Strong communication skills across departments (manufacturing, sales, compliance)

Preferred Qualifications

• Experience with warehouse management systems (WMS) or ERP platforms
• Familiarity with state cannabis transport and manifest regulations
• Forklift certification or willingness to obtain
• Bilingual candidates encouraged to apply

Compensation: $25 per hour
