Duties

• Oversee daily operations of cultivation facilities, including greenhouse and outdoor grow areas, ensuring optimal plant health and productivity
• Develop and implement standard operating procedures (SOPs) for all cultivation activities to maintain consistency and quality across crops
• Manage irrigation systems and agricultural environmental control systems to regulate humidity, temperature, light, and watering schedules for maximum crop yield
• Lead horticultural teams by providing training on plant identification, pruning, garden trimming, pest management, and proper use of hand tools
• Monitor crop production stages from seedling to harvest, ensuring adherence to safety standards and regulatory compliance
• Implement integrated pest management strategies to control plant pests and diseases effectively without compromising product safety
• Coordinate with quality assurance teams to ensure all crops meet industry standards for potency, purity, and safety
• Conduct regular inspections of irrigation systems, greenhouses, land plots, and outdoor work areas to identify issues early and troubleshoot as needed
• Maintain detailed records of crop growth cycles, pest control measures, environmental conditions, and operational activities for audit purposes

Skills

• Extensive knowledge of horticulture practices including greenhouse cultivation, outdoor farming, gardening techniques, and landscaping
• Proficiency in irrigation management and agricultural environmental control systems
• Strong understanding of crop pest management and plant pest control methods
• Experience managing horticultural teams with excellent leadership skills in managing labor schedules and training staff
• Ability to operate hand tools safely and effectively in gardening and farming tasks
• Familiarity with standard operating procedures (SOPs), compliance regulations, and industry best practices in cannabis cultivation
• Basic math skills for measuring inputs such as nutrients or water levels accurately
• Physical ability for heavy lifting, standing long hours outdoors or in greenhouses, and performing manual gardening tasks
• Knowledge of plant identification techniques to monitor crop health effectively
• Experience with lawn care maintenance and landscaping as part of overall site management
• Strong organizational skills to manage multiple projects simultaneously while maintaining attention to detail
