Cannabis Sales Support Representative

A licensed cannabis manufacturing and distribution company in San Diego is looking for a dependable and outgoing Sales Support Representative to help manage existing customer accounts, process orders, maintain sales materials, and develop new business.

This is a sales-focused position. We are looking for someone who is comfortable picking up the phone, building relationships with customers, following up consistently, and asking for the order.

Our company represents multiple cannabis brands and a broad wholesale product catalog, including flower, prerolls, infused products, multipacks, hash holes and concentrates. The sales menu includes changing products, strains, pricing and promotions, so keeping customers informed and the menu current is an important part of the position.

Primary responsibilities include:

• Call our existing customer base regularly to check inventory needs and ask if they need to place an order.
• Develop relationships with buyers and maintain consistent communication with existing accounts.
• Send current menus, specials, promotions and product availability to customers.
• Follow up on menus and promotions rather than simply emailing them and waiting for a response.
• Take customer orders and accurately enter/process them in our ordering system.
• Coordinate orders internally and help make sure they move through fulfillment and delivery.
• Contact prospective dispensaries and other licensed cannabis retailers to introduce our products.
• Identify the buyer or purchasing contact at prospective accounts.
• Email or text menus and promotional materials to prospective customers.
• Offer sample boxes to qualified prospective accounts.
• Follow up with prospects after samples or menus are received.
• Help schedule meetings with interested buyers and management.
• Maintain an organized customer/prospect list and track calls, follow-ups and sales opportunities.
• Make basic updates to our existing digital sales menus as products, strains, pricing and promotions change.
• Assist with other routine sales and customer-service tasks as needed.

What We're Looking For

The right candidate is comfortable on the phone and understands that follow-up drives sales. We do not want someone who is going to sit behind a computer and wait for customers to contact us.

You should be able to call an existing customer and comfortably say, “I wanted to check in, see how our products are moving, and find out if you need anything for your next order.” You should also be comfortable contacting a new account, finding the buyer, sending them our menu and following up.

Strong candidates will be organized, personable, persistent without being pushy, comfortable learning product information, and capable of accurately processing customer orders.

Qualifications:

• Previous sales, inside sales, customer service, account support or similar experience preferred.
• Comfortable making outbound calls every day.
• Strong verbal and written communication skills.
• Good organizational and follow-up habits.
• Basic computer skills and ability to learn our ordering system.
• Ability to accurately enter and process customer orders.
• Comfortable working with digital menus, email and basic spreadsheets.
• Canva experience is helpful but not required.
• Cannabis industry experience is helpful but not required.
• Experience selling to dispensaries or working with cannabis buyers is a plus.

Pay: $20.00 - $25.00 per hour

Expected hours: 40.0 per week
