Learn to make ice cream from a business doing so since 2004, in this very hands-on position where you will learn to produce a locally loved product with the goal of increasing independence in this long term, gratifying, fun position. Canton Creamery is looking for a dependable, detail-oriented Ice Cream Maker to help produce the handcrafted ice cream our customers know and love.

Responsibilities

Produce ice cream in batches according to established recipes and procedures

Prepare ingredients, flavors and mix-ins for production

Maintain consistency, quality and portioning from batch to batch

Monitor ice cream inventory and help determine production needs

Keep flavors stocked based on sales and anticipated demand

Label, date, rotate and properly store finished products and ingredients

Maintain a clean, sanitary and organized production area

Clean and sanitize ice cream-making equipment and utensils

Follow all food safety and sanitation requirements

Keep track of ingredients and notify management when supplies need to be reordered

Assist with developing and testing seasonal or specialty flavors as needed

What We're Looking For

Dependable, organized and detail-oriented

Comfortable working independently

Able to follow recipes and established procedures accurately

Good time-management skills and ability to plan production efficiently

Committed to cleanliness, food safety and product quality

Able to stand for extended periods and perform routine lifting associated with food

production

Available approximately 24 hours per week with flexibility in scheduling

Previous kitchen, baking, food production or ice cream-making experience is helpful, but training

can be provided for the right person.

Job Type: Part-time

Pay: $16.94 - $17.50 per hour
