Duties

• Engage in face-to-face conversations with community members to inform and motivate participation
• Utilize mobile devices to record interactions, gather data, and report progress in real-time
• Build rapport through conversational engagement and active listening to understand community needs
• Promote fundraising initiatives by explaining benefits and encouraging support from residents
• Navigate neighborhoods on foot, ensuring respectful and professional interactions at all times
• Collaborate with team members to meet outreach goals and share best practices for effective canvassing

Skills

• Proven experience in field sales, canvassing, or outdoor marketing campaigns
• Strong communication skills with the ability to engage diverse audiences confidently
• Supervising experience is a plus for leadership roles within the team
• Bilingual abilities to connect with a broader range of community members are highly valued
• Customer service experience that emphasizes professionalism and empathy during face-to-face interactions
• Comfortable walking for extended periods in outdoor environments under various weather conditions
• Skilled in negotiation and persuasive communication to motivate support or donations
• Experience with telemarketing or community engagement enhances effectiveness in outreach efforts
• Familiarity with mobile devices for data collection and reporting purposes
