**Job Title: Door-to-Door GOTV Canvasser**

We are seeking reliable, motivated individuals to join our Get Out The Vote (GOTV) door-to-door canvassing team. Canvassers will engage voters in person, share campaign information, identify supporters, and encourage turnout for Election Day (or early voting). This is high-impact field work that directly helps increase voter participation.

**Key Responsibilities**

• Walk assigned turf and knock on doors according to the daily walk list / app turf

• Deliver a clear, concise, and persuasive GOTV script or message

• Identify supporter levels (strong support, lean support, undecided, opposed) and record accurate data in the campaign app or paper forms

• Encourage supporters to vote early, request ballots if needed, and confirm their plan to vote

• Leave literature or door hangers when no one answers

• Report daily progress, issues with turf, or voter concerns to the field organizer / team lead

• Maintain a professional, respectful, and non-confrontational demeanor at all times

• Adhere to all local, state, and campaign rules regarding voter contact and data privacy

**Requirements**

• 18 years of age or older

• Reliable transportation and valid driver’s license (preferred)

• Ability to walk several miles per day in various weather conditions

• Comfortable approaching strangers and holding short conversations

• Smartphone with data plan (for app-based canvassing)

• Available for flexible hours, including evenings and weekends during peak GOTV periods

• Strong attention to detail when recording voter data

**Preferred Qualifications**

• Previous experience in door-to-door canvassing, petition circulation, sales, or customer-facing roles

• Familiarity with voter contact tools (MiniVAN, Reach, OpenVPB, or similar)

• Knowledge of local voting rules, early voting locations, or ballot return deadlines
