You'll be out in the community every day, connecting with voters face to face.

We are seeking an energetic and motivated Canvasser to join our dynamic outreach team! In this role, you will be the face of our organization, engaging with community members directly through face-to-face communication and outdoor activities. Your enthusiasm and persuasive skills will help foster community engagement, promote our initiatives, and gather valuable support. Responsibilities

• Conduct door-to-door canvassing in assigned neighborhoods to promote programs or gather support
• Engage residents through friendly, face-to-face communication to explain initiatives and answer questions
• Utilize mobile devices to record interactions, update contact information, and track progress in real-time
• Demonstrate excellent communication skills to negotiate and persuade potential supporters or donors
• Represent the organization professionally during outdoor work hours, maintaining a positive attitude
• Assist with fundraising efforts by encouraging community participation and donations
• Collaborate with team members to strategize outreach plans and maximize community engagement efforts

Experience

• Prior field sales or canvassing experience preferred but not required; training will be provided
• Strong customer service skills with the ability to connect quickly with diverse populations
• Experience in marketing or community engagement is a plus
• Bilingual abilities are highly valued to reach broader audiences
• Demonstrated outdoor work experience, including walking extensively in various weather conditions
• Excellent verbal communication skills for face-to-face conversations and negotiation
• Supervising experience is advantageous for leadership roles within outreach teams
