Duties

• Conduct door-to-door canvassing in assigned neighborhoods to promote programs, gather feedback, or solicit support for community initiatives.
• Engage in friendly, conversational interactions with residents to explain the purpose of outreach efforts and answer questions effectively.
• Utilize mobile devices to record data, track interactions, and report progress in real-time.
• Build rapport with community members through face-to-face communication and active listening to foster trust and engagement.
• Promote fundraising campaigns or organizational goals by persuading residents to contribute or participate.
• Coordinate with team members to strategize outreach approaches and maximize community impact.
• Maintain a professional appearance and represent the organization positively during outdoor work activities.

Qualifications

• Proven experience in field sales, canvassing, or community engagement preferred.
• Strong communication skills with the ability to connect easily with diverse audiences; bilingual abilities are a plus.
• Experience supervising or leading teams is advantageous but not required.
• Comfortable walking outdoors for extended periods and working in various weather conditions.
• Knowledge of marketing principles and customer service practices to effectively promote initiatives.
• Skilled in negotiation and conversational engagement to motivate participation or donations.
• Familiarity with using mobile devices for data entry and reporting during outreach activities.
• Previous outdoor work experience involving door-to-door or face-to-face interactions is highly desirable.

Pay: $50,000.00 - $500,000.00 per year
