What they need
Description We are looking for a data-driven Supply Chain Analyst to join the EU Capacity Planning team. You will own capacity planning for a defined scope of the European fulfillment network — monitoring inventory cube levels, forecasting capacity requirements, identifying capacity risks, and driving operational decisions that keep the network running efficiently. You will work with large datasets, build analytical frameworks, and present findings to senior stakeholders.
This is a high-ownership role. You will be expected to take full accountability for your network scope, proactively surface risks, and collaborate across multiple teams to solve problems.
Key job responsibilities
- Own weekly and quarterly capacity planning for an assigned segment of the EU fulfillment network (e.g., a region, node type, or product category)
- Monitor and report on key capacity metrics: bin/template fullness, pallet utilization, inventory cube, NSTA (No-Stow-Turn-Away) rates, and Average Weight per Unit (AWU) trends
- Build and maintain statistical forecasts for cube utilization, volume, and capacity constraints at site and network level
- Identify capacity risks weeks in advance and propose mitigation actions to Operations and S&OP teams
- Support peak event planning (Prime, Black Friday, Cyber Monday, Christmas) — contributing to strategy documents, daily execution calls, and post-event reviews
- Develop and automate reporting tools and dashboards that feed into weekly business reviews and leadership updates
- Contribute to cross-functional programs such as cost-out initiatives, new FC launches, network re-measurement, and fulfillment strategy changes
- Present analysis and recommendations to senior stakeholders with clarity and confidence
About The Team etwork — spanning AR (Amazon Robotics), Traditional Non-Sort (TNS), Vendor Flex, and specialty nodes across EU5. We forecast cube and capacity requirements, monitor inventory fullness, plan for peak events, and drive cost-out initiatives across 100+ fulfillment centers. The team operates at the intersection of supply chain planning, data analytics, and cross-functional program execution, partnering daily with Operations, Finance, S&OP, PPT, ACES, SCOT and Placement.
Basic Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree, or MBA in supply chain management, operations, engineering, analytics or related field
- 2+ years of Excel (including VBA, pivot tables, array functions, power pivots, etc.) and data visualization tools such as Tableau experience
- Experience communicating results to senior leadership, or experience working with large-scale data mining and reporting tools (i.e. SQL, MS Power Query, Python)
- Experience in English-language communication skills, both written and verbal
- 1+ years of using SQL to extract and manipulate data experience
- 1-3 years of experience in supply chain planning, capacity planning, cube/inventory management, or operations analytics
Preferred Qualifications
- Experience with reporting and Data Visualization tools such as Quick Sight / Tableau / Power BI or other BI packages
- Experience with data scripting languages (e.g., SQL, Python, R, or equivalent) or statistical/mathematical software (e.g., R, SAS, Matlab, or equivalent)
- Experience in operations management for a fulfillment or distribution center
- Experience managing internal stakeholder relationships and working successfully across organizations and different cultures to deliver results requiring collaboration and coordination with multiple teams
- Knowledge of Lean Six Sigma concepts and best practices
