What they need

Here at Griffin’s snacks, we’re part of the Intersnack Group, a global snack food leader operating in over 30 countries. However, whilst internationally owned, we manufacture locally and proudly produce some of New Zealand’s favourite snack brands - including Snackachangi, ETA, Proper Crisps, Griffin’s, Huntley & Palmers, Mexicano and Nice & Natural.

We’re looking for an experienced Capital Investment Project Manager to lead the delivery of key capital projects across our manufacturing operations. Flexibility to work across both Papakura and Wiri locations is essential.

Reporting into the Head of Capital Investments- this is a high-impact role responsible for managing both strategic and maintenance capital investments, including projects that support innovation and new product development (NPD).

We are looking for a proactive and adaptable professional with strong stakeholder engagement, leadership, and problem-solving skills, who thrives in a fast-paced FMCG environment and can successfully deliver complex capital investment projects.

What you'll be responsible for:

  • Ensuring projects are delivered in line with approved scope, timelines, and budgets
  • Track and report on project progress, including risks and financial performance
  • Escalate any issues or potential overspend early
  • Supporting compliance with company policies and procedures
  • Work closely with cross-functional teams, contractors, and consultants across different project stages
  • Support the development and ongoing review of the five-year capital investment plan
  • Ensure projects are delivered in line with approved scope, timelines, and budgets

What you’ll bring to the role?

  • Tertiary qualification required, ideally in civil engineering, project management, or a related field
  • 10+ years’ experience in FMCG food manufacturing, engineering, and project management roles, with strong commercial and budget management experience preferred
  • Plant automation experience would be an advantage
  • Experience using AutoCAD to develop concepts and layouts
  • Strong project delivery skills, including scheduling, budget control, and reporting
  • Knowledge of civil or building projects, including construction materials, building codes, and work planning
  • Strong communicator who can work across different teams and levels
  • Solutions-focused — you stay calm and adaptable when challenges arise

**What can you expect in return?**In addition to having plenty of snacks on hand in the workplace, you can expect to be part of a supportive working environment where you'll feel engaged and valued, career growth opportunities, commitment to our community partnerships and a focus on health and wellness to make your workplace more enjoyable – including  Wellbeing & Volunteer Days!

Other offers great for you!
