Role description:

Arcadis is seeking a Project Manager contractor to support Site Engineering – Project Engineering. This role will execute project management for the planning, design, implementation, and close-out of capital projects, instituting proper controls to assure financial and regulatory compliance.

Role accountabilities:

• Coordinate project design, cost estimates, schedules, client interface, and related activities for assigned capital projects.
• Manage capital project implementation, including oversight of selected vendors and contract partners.
• Determine specific customer and stakeholder requirements and manage communication across organizational and functional boundaries.
• Ensure customers, peers, and support groups have a clear understanding of scope, deliverables, and expectations for assigned capital projects.
• Contribute to a high-performance culture by recognizing and resolving issues as they arise.
• Assure all assigned capital projects comply with budgetary, regulatory, departmental, safety, and company standards.
• Identify and report discrepancies from normal practices or procedures to senior management, recommending and implementing corrective actions.
• Work on problems of diverse scope where analysis of situations or data requires evaluation of identifiable factors.
• Exercise judgment within generally defined practices and policies in selecting methods and techniques for obtaining solutions.
• Manage contract vendors to assure desired project outcomes are achieved.

Qualifications & Experience:

• Bachelor of Science degree in engineering required; mechanical, electrical, or chemical engineering preferred.
• Minimum of 6–10 years of experience in conceptual development, project management, project controls, planning, and scheduling on capital projects.
• Experience in the biotech, pharmaceutical, or related industry required.
• Knowledge and experience with regulatory requirements, engineering principles, and construction techniques.
• Demonstrated proficiency communicating and collaborating with customers, vendors, equipment suppliers, operations staff, and cross-functional stakeholders.
• Experience supporting manufacturing operations desired.
• Strong leadership and communication skills.
• Proven success working well in a team environment with flexibility to react to changing business needs.
• Ability to provide legal U.S. work authorization documents required. U.S. domestic travelers and relocation may be considered.

Contacts & Working Conditions:

• Work with all departments and all levels of the organization, as well as contract vendors engaged in design and construction.
• Occasional interactions with local and state officials related to permitting and inspections.
• Work within various construction environments requiring strong attention to detail and proper use of appropriate Personal Protective Equipment (PPE).
• Receive assignments in the form of objectives and establish goals to meet those objectives; work is reviewed and measured based on meeting established objectives and schedules.
