What they need

Capital Projects Engineer, Manufacturing Operations

Picture a typical day: you walk the production floor with Operations, hear a Maintenance update on a critical asset, huddle with Quality about a new launch, and finalize vendor schedules for an upcoming line upgrade. By week’s end, you’ve presented a scope, locked a budget, and green-lit an installation plan that improves safety and boosts throughput.

The Work You’ll Lead

From idea to start-up, you’ll be accountable for delivering manufacturing projects that elevate plant performance:

  • Own capital equipment and facility improvement projects from planning through implementation.
  • Coordinate equipment installations, plant upgrades, infrastructure improvements, and layout optimizations.
  • Enable new product introductions, including equipment start-up, commissioning, and validation.
  • Develop clear scopes of work, budgets, schedules, and technical specifications.
  • Direct contractors, suppliers, and internal teams to execute safely, on time, and on budget.
  • Advance safety, quality, productivity, reliability, and overall operational efficiency.
  • Provide hands-on technical support and drive root cause investigations for equipment and process issues.
  • Champion continuous improvement using Lean Manufacturing methods and structured problem solving.

What You Bring

  • Bachelor’s in Mechanical, Manufacturing, Industrial, Electrical Engineering, or related field.
  • 3+ years in manufacturing engineering or project management.
  • Proven experience delivering capital equipment, facility, or industrial improvement projects.
  • Strong planning, organization, and communication capabilities.
  • Working knowledge of Lean and continuous improvement practices.
  • Skilled at juggling multiple priorities and collaborating across functions.

Impact, Growth, and Rewards

  • Lead high-impact capital and facility initiatives that move key plant metrics.
  • High-visibility role with direct influence on performance and growth.
  • Collaborative culture with meaningful professional development opportunities.
  • Competitive compensation and a comprehensive benefits package.
