Role Description The Captain is a full-time, on-site role based in the Greater Bengaluru Area, responsible for supervising service operations on the floor in restaurants, bars, or banquet settings. Day-to-day tasks include overseeing table setups, managing reservations and guest seating, coordinating orders with kitchen and bar teams, and ensuring timely, courteous service. The Captain leads and guides service staff, conducts briefings, monitors cleanliness and presentation standards, and addresses guest queries or concerns promptly. The role also involves handling billing, promoting menu items or special events, supporting banquet functions, and maintaining compliance with company policies and safety procedures.

Qualifications

• Strong guest service and communication skills, with the ability to manage guest expectations and resolve issues professionally.
• Experience supervising service staff in restaurants, bars, hotels, or banquet operations, including floor coordination and shift management.
• Knowledge of food and beverage service standards, menu items, and basic billing and POS systems.
• Ability to work flexible hours, including evenings, weekends, and holidays, in a fast-paced hospitality environment.
• Attention to detail, teamwork orientation, and a proactive, service-focused mindset.
• Prior experience in hospitality or hotel management is preferred; a diploma or degree in hospitality management or a related field is an advantage.
• Basic understanding of hygiene, safety, and compliance practices in food and beverage operations.
