Captain / Head Server

Overview

We are seeking an energetic and dedicated Captain / Head Server to lead our front-of-house team with enthusiasm and professionalism. In this pivotal role, you will oversee daily service operations, ensure exceptional guest experiences, and foster a positive team environment. Your leadership will drive the restaurant’s service standards, uphold food safety and quality, and support the overall success of our hospitality team. Duties

• Lead and supervise the FOH team during the shift
• Assign sections and responsibilities to servers
• Ensure all tables receive fast, friendly, and professional service
• Greet and assist customers when needed
• Handle customer complaints and service issues professionally
• Resolve problems quickly and escalate major issues to management
• Monitor food and drink service to ensure accuracy and quality
• Coordinate closely with the kitchen and management
• Support servers during busy periods and help with large parties/events
• Train and coach new servers on service standards and restaurant procedures
• Monitor tables and ensure proper follow-up throughout the meal
• Make sure the dining area, tables, and service stations remain clean and organized
• Assist with opening and closing procedures
• Monitor POS/order accuracy and help correct mistakes
• Communicate any operational issues, shortages, or customer feedback to management
• Help maintain a positive, professional, and team-oriented work environment
• Ensure restaurant policies and service standards are followed throughout the shift

Requirements

• 2+ years restaurant serving experience
• Previous leadership experience preferred
• Strong customer service & communication skills
• Excellent problem-solving and customer-handling skills
• Ability to lead the team during the shift
• Experience with POS systems
• Able to work in a fast-paced environment
• Weekend/evening availability
• Middle Eastern/Mediterranean restaurant experience is a plus
