Captain (Server)

Officina [oh · fee · she · nah], or “workshop,” is an Italian-inspired culinary collective from Chef Nicholas Stefanelli of Michelin-star Masseria. Officina is the realization of Chef Stefanelli's career-long dream to bring the very best of Italian gastronomy together under one roof.

Our flagship is a three-story space home to an all-day cafe, highly-curated marketplace featuring sought-after ingredients and prepared specialty items, a casual trattoria rooted in classic Italian cuisine, rare Amaro Library, versatile private event spaces, and year-round rooftop.

In terms of both cuisine and service, our standards are high – and so are those of our guests.

In the kitchen, everything is created from scratch, with great attention to detail, including bread service and all ingredients supporting the cocktail program; we also practice whole animal butchery. Our front-of-the-house team provides seamless service to our guests with knowledge and warmth. Preferred Qualifications/Skills

*High School Diploma or equivalent

*At least a year of serving/restaurant experience

*Some experience with POS system

*Ability to function at a high standard in a high volume environment

*At least 18 years old

Key Responsibilities

*Greet guests with a warm smile

*Take orders and communicate with customers and kitchen staff about any special requests/allergies

*Share any information about the menu and any questions the guests may have about the menu

*Bring out food in a timely manner

*Checking up on guests

*Communicate and work as a team player with other staff members

*Maintain cleanliness by clearing away appropriate dishes from guests tables

*Follow safety and sanitation standards

What we expect from you

*Ability to work nights and weekends, occasionally holidays

*Ability to work and contribute to a team environment to ensure guest satisfaction

*Willingness to work and learn

Physical Requirements

*Ability to stand and walk for extended periods of time

*Ability to lift up to 15 pounds occasionally
