Captain / Steward

Steward :

Manages guest service, supervises floor staff, and assists with serving food and drinks in a restaurant or hotel.

• Table management: Clear, clean, and reset tables quickly after customers finish their meals.

• Guest service support: Welcome guests, present menus, serve water, and assist wait staff with running food or drinks.

• Venue setup: Arrange seating, tables, and decorations for banquets, parties, or special events.

• Safety compliance: Follow health codes, wear protective gear, and report broken equipment immediately.

Captain :

• Quality & Cleanliness: Inspect table setups, tableware, and station hygiene before and during service hours.

• Problem Solving: Handle guest complaints and resolve service issues quickly to ensure satisfaction.

• Administrative Tasks: Record orders using the Point of Sales (POS) system, process guest bills and payments, and log customer feedback.

• Guest Service: Greet guests, assist with seating, take food and beverage orders, and ensure meals are served correctly and on time.

• Team Leadership: Conduct pre-shift briefings, train junior servers on menu items and service standards, and manage floor operations.
