CAR ASSESSOR

Job Summary
We are looking for a reliable and detail-oriented Trade-in / Used Car Assessor to join our team. The successful candidate will be responsible for inspecting and evaluating trade-in and pre-owned vehicles, determining their market value, and providing accurate assessments to support vehicle acquisition and sales operations.

Key Responsibilities:

• Conduct thorough inspections of trade-in and used vehicles, including exterior, interior, mechanical, and structural condition.
• Assess vehicle value based on its condition, mileage, service history, market demand, and current pricing.
  Identify previous repairs, accident damage, and other factors affecting vehicle value.
• Prepare accurate appraisal reports and recommend trade-in values.
• Coordinate with the Sales and Service Departments regarding vehicle assessments and reconditioning requirements.
• Monitor used car market trends and pricing to ensure competitive valuations.
• Ensure all vehicle appraisal records and documentation are complete and accurate.
• Perform other related duties as assigned.

Qualifications:

• Bachelor's degree in Automotive Technology, Mechanical Engineering, or any related course is preferred.
• Relevant experience may be considered in lieu of educational requirements.
• Proven experience in vehicle appraisal, used car evaluation, or automotive service is an advantage.
• Strong knowledge of automotive systems, vehicle diagnostics, and body condition assessment.
• Familiarity with used vehicle market pricing and valuation methods.
• Excellent analytical, negotiation, and decision-making skills.
• Detail-oriented with good communication and interpersonal skills.
• Proficient in Microsoft Office applications.
• Possesses a valid driver's license and can drive both manual and automatic transmission vehicles.
