Car Detailing Technician

Job Title:

Car Detailing Technician.

About Us:

At J&W Mobile Detailing, we take pride in making cars look brand new — inside and out. We're a fast-growing mobile detailing business in the Bay Area known for quality work, a great team, and happy repeat customers. We're looking for a motivated Car Detailing Technician to join our crew and help us keep raising the bar.

Job Description:

Turn your work into art. Get paid to make cars shine.

J&W Mobile Detailing is hiring a Car Detailing Technician to join our team. If you take pride in doing things right, love working with your hands, and want a job where you can actually see the results of your work every single day, this is for you.

No two days look the same — one minute you're bringing a daily driver back to life, the next you're making a weekend project car look showroom-ready. We'll teach you the techniques; you bring the work ethic and attention to detail.

This is full-time work with real pay, real tips, and real room to grow.

What You'll Do:

• Wash, clay, polish, and wax vehicle exteriors to a high-quality finish.
• Deep clean interiors — vacuuming, shampooing, leather conditioning, stain and odor removal.
• Apply ceramic coatings, sealants, and paint protection products.
• Inspect vehicles before and after service to make sure every detail is dialed in.
• Keep your work area, tools, and equipment clean and organized.
• Communicate with customers about their vehicle's needs and recommend services.
• Work as part of a team to keep jobs moving efficiently without cutting corners.

What We're Looking For:

• Some experience in auto detailing, car washing, or a similar hands-on role is a plus — but attitude matters more than resume.
• A genuine interest in cars and doing quality work.
• Reliable, on time, and ready to put in the effort.
• Able to stand, bend, and work with your hands for extended periods.
• Comfortable working both indoors and outdoors in a shop environment.
• Valid driver's license preferred (you may need to move customer vehicles).
• Team player who takes feedback well and wants to keep improving.
• 18+ years old.

No certification required — we provide paid training and will teach you our process from day one.

Pay & Benefits:

• Pay: Hourly base pay + tips and commission on upsells (top techs regularly out-earn the hourly rate).
• Schedule: Full-time, consistent and flexible scheduling.
• Paid training — learn professional detailing techniques on our dime.
• Growth path — clear opportunities to move up to Lead Technician.
• Fun, hands-on team environment — good people, and satisfaction at the end of every job.

Why Work With Us:

• Get paid to work with your hands and see instant results.
• Learn a skill that travels with you anywhere.
• Tips add up fast — the better you get, the more you earn.

How to Apply:

Ready to join the team? Apply now with your name, contact info, and any relevant experience (don't worry if you don't have any — we'll train the right person). We're hiring immediately and looking to fill this role fast.
