Car dismantler

Position Overview:
We are seeking a skilled and reliable Car Dismantler to join our team. The Car Dismantler will be responsible for manually disassembling vehicles, identifying and carefully removing usable parts, and preparing scrap materials for recycling. This is a hands-on, physically demanding role requiring mechanical aptitude and attention to detail.

Key Responsibilities:

• Manually dismantle vehicles using hand tools and power tools.
• Safely remove usable parts (engines, transmissions, body panels, etc.) without damaging them.
• Drain fluids and dispose of them according to environmental regulations.
• Identify, tag, and label parts accurately for inventory.
• Organize dismantled parts for warehouse storage or customer sale.
• Operate forklifts or hoists to move vehicles or heavy parts (training provided if necessary).
• Maintain a clean and safe work environment.
• Perform basic maintenance on tools and equipment.
• Follow all health, safety, and environmental procedures and regulations.

Requirements:

• Previous experience in automotive dismantling, mechanic work, or a similar field preferred.
• Strong mechanical skills and knowledge of car components.
• Ability to lift heavy parts (up to 75 lbs) and work in varying weather conditions.
• Basic hand and power tool proficiency.
• Attention to detail and commitment to quality workmanship.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
• Valid driver’s license preferred.
• Forklift certification a plus (or willingness to obtain).
