Job Summary

We are seeking energetic and reliable Car Drivers to join our dynamic transportation team! In this role, you will be responsible for safely operating a variety of vehicles, including passenger cars, pickup trucks, vans, and commercial vehicles, to transport passengers and freight efficiently. Duties

• Safely operate standard passenger cars, vans, pickup trucks, and commercial vehicles across various routes, including over-the-road (OTR) driving routes and local deliveries
• Use GPS navigation systems and fleet GPS tracking tools to follow optimized routes and ensure timely arrivals
• Load and unload freight using manual handling techniques, pallet jacks, or forklifts when necessary, adhering to safe lifting practices
• Maintain compliance with traffic regulations, air brake requirements, and safety protocols during all driving activities
• Communicate effectively with dispatchers and customers via mobile devices to confirm delivery or pickup details
• Conduct routine vehicle inspections before and after trips to identify mechanical issues or safety concerns
• Assist with the loading and securing of freight or equipment such as heavy machinery or tanker loads when required
• Drive in adverse weather conditions while maintaining safety standards and controlling the vehicle responsibly
• Ensure proper documentation of trips, deliveries, and vehicle maintenance logs in accordance with company policies

Experience

• Proven experience operating various types of vehicles including passenger cars, commercial trucks, or heavy equipment such as dump trucks or heavy haul vehicles
• Familiarity with GPS navigation systems and fleet tracking technology
• Knowledge of traffic laws, safety regulations, including air brake certifications if applicable
• Experience in manual transmission operation and manual handling techniques
• Ability to perform heavy lifting safely while following established safety practices
• Prior experience in route driving within urban or rural environments; familiarity with over-the-road (OTR) routes is a plus
• Strong communication skills to coordinate with dispatchers, clients, and team members effectively
• Mechanical knowledge of commercial vehicles is advantageous for basic troubleshooting and maintenance awareness

Pay: $24.25 - $29.21 per hour

Work Location: In person
