Car Rental Operator

As a frontline Car Rental Operator, you will be the face of our brand. Your primary focus will be ensuring smooth store operations, including customer reception, booking management, fleet dispatch, and vehicle condition monitoring. With your expertise and warm service, you'll help every customer kick off a seamless South Island road trip.

Key responsibilities

• Warmly welcome customers at the branch, efficiently process pick-ups/drop-offs, and assist with vehicle features, routes, and local travel queries
• Manage daily fleet dispatch, handle booking systems, prepare rental agreements, and process billing
• Conduct quick vehicle check-ins upon return, record vehicle status and mileage, and coordinate servicing and maintenance to keep the fleet in top condition
• Assist with roadside assistance requests, basic vehicle troubleshooting, and customer queries, ensuring timely solutions
• Assist with light vehicle cleaning during peak hours or busy periods to ensure prompt turnaround for the next customer
• Verify driver's licenses and ensure all rentals strictly comply with company policies and NZ road rules

What We're Looking For

Hard Requirements：

• Valid New Zealand Class 1 Full Driver Licence (Ability to drive manual vehicles is a plus).
• Legal right to work in New Zealand (Citizen, Resident, or valid Work Visa holder).
• Flexibility to work shift hours, including weekends and public holidays.
• Physical ability to perform light manual tasks (e.g., handling occasional luggage or equipment).

Soft Skills：

• Strong Communicator: Excellent spoken and written English to assist international travelers smoothly. Fluency in Mandarin or other languages is a strong advantage.
• Service-Minded: Enthusiastic, empathetic, and passionate about delivering exceptional customer experiences.
• Problem Solver: Calm and proactive when dealing with unexpected situations (e.g., flight delays or minor vehicle issues).
• Detail-Oriented: Thorough and responsible when reviewing rental contracts and inspecting vehicles.
