CAR TECHNICIAN - PROTON

Key Responsibilities:

• Perform vehicle servicing, repair, maintenance, inspection and rectification works according to job orders and service procedures.
• Ensure all repair and maintenance work meets the required quality and safety standards.
• Identify additional repair needs and inform the Service Advisor / Technical Advisor accordingly.
• Complete assigned jobs efficiently and provide clear updates and job descriptions upon completion.
• Take proper care of customer vehicles by using fender covers, seat covers and floor mats during repairs.
• Minimise rework and comeback jobs by ensuring quality workmanship and proper inspection before completing each job.
• Maintain a clean, organised and safe workshop, including proper storage and handling of tools and equipment.
• Maintain personal and company tools in good condition and report any loss or damage.
• Follow all workshop SOPs and safety requirements to prevent accidents, injuries and vehicle/property damage.
• Keep technical knowledge and skills up to date through training and continuous learning.
• Attend mandatory training sessions and team meetings.
• Assist and guide helpers or new technicians when assigned.
• Complete required workshop documentation, technical records, and equipment listings accurately and on time.
• Maintain good attendance, punctuality, discipline and teamwork.
• Be willing to work overtime when reasonably requested by management.
• Perform other duties as assigned by the Technical Advisor, Job Controller, Branch Head or management.
